In July, we installed a timelapse camera near the calving front of Narsap Sermia to monitor its calving behaviour and its dynamics. The camera will take pictures every hour for the next 400 days. These photographs will (amongst other things) allow us to determine the velocity of the glacier, and monitor calving events when we retrieve the data in 2018.

Have you sailed/travelled in Nuup Kangerlua (Godthåbsfjord)? Do you have photographs (old or new) of any of the glaciers in the area? If yes, click here to get in touch!
